About Us

We help our Lions make their mark...but how?       

We are a non-profit 501 (c)(3) entity in the State of Colorado supporting Legacy Elementary School and it's staff        

 We raise money for our amazing teachers by putting grant dollars in their hands to grow their classrooms, curriculum, and learning environment.          

We promote literacy with the annual Read-a-Thon in Spring         

We promote health and fitness with the Miners Day 5K and FundRun in Fall         

We gather our community and help families meet one another and create the bonds that will follow our children through their high school careers and beyond.        

We fundraise and plan events to help fund all the things your kids look forward to! Field trips, in class activities, talent shows, Spring decades dance, donuts with Dad, muffins for Mom, ice cream socials, movie nights, field day...you name it! (literally, YOU can name it, see the "volunteer with PTO" notes below!)         

In times where school budgets are shrinking, we feel it is so important to keep schools running the way WE remember them running! 

All parents, guardians, teachers and staff of Legacy Elementary are already members of the Legacy Elementary PTO! Come celebrate this monumental achievement with us at our next meeting! 

Bonus: there is free childcare during the meeting!

Do you need to commit to a full year of PTO activities? NO! 

Do you need to manage the organization of the PTO? NO! 

Do you have ideas? YES! We want to hear them! 

All we ask of volunteers is one project or committee commitment which lasts no more than a month and takes only a few hours that month.  We ask volunteers to attend meetings that pertain to their project.
